IPAMORELIN

Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide (Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) classified as a selective growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) and a ghrelin receptor agonist. Originally developed to stimulate the pulsatile release of growth hormone from the anterior pituitary gland, it is widely investigated for its high specificity. Unlike other growth hormone secretagogues, Ipamorelin does not significantly stimulate the release of cortisol, prolactin, or aldosterone, minimizing unwanted endocrine side effects. Preclinical and clinical studies evaluate its potential role in supporting muscle protein synthesis, tissue repair, post-exercise recovery, fat metabolism, and overall body composition regulation by mimicking the body's natural growth hormone-releasing pathways.
